Situation

Regular physical activity and endurance sports play an important role in the aftercare of cardiovascular diseases as well as in the case of respective preventative measures.

Anyone starting sports activities – especially at an older age – should know precisely his/her performance ability in order not to be at risk of an under- stated of over- stated training and therefore at a health risk.

Training should be effective, should counteract the risk factors, increase the resistance and performance ability, improve mobility, strength and coordination and counteract a decrease in performance. The fitness program should therefore be carefully planned.

Solution

Before the beginning of training, the performance ability of the lungs and the formation of lactate in the muscles should be thoroughly examined under stress. Wth the knowledge of your personal performance ability you can also better judge your athletic performance limit.

With the result of the spiroergometry we design a training plan which is adjusted to your individual fitness status. With this your handicap will be considered and a long term trainings success will be assured.

We will supervise your training progress systematically by a spiroergometrical follow-up test.

You will receive a total assessment of your performance ability of your heart circulation system including the oxygen consumption by the muscles.

With the determined measured values (maximum oxygen intake, the anaerobic threshold, heart frequency) you can make your sports activities more effective. You will find out during which stress intensitiy you burn the most fat, at which level of stress intensity the muscles use oxygen optimally and how you can stabilize and/or improve your performance with it.
